Alon Mogilner, MD
Dr. Mogilner, a neurosurgeon, is the Director of the Center for Neuromodulation at NYU Langone Medical Center, and an associate professor of Neurosurgery and Anesthesiology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He specializes in the surgical treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders using Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) as well as high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). Dr. Mogilner is a graduate of Columbia University and the combined MD-PhD program at NYU. He underwent neurosurgical training at NYU with specialty fellowship training in the surgical treatment of movement disorders. The NYU Center for Neuromodulation treats hundreds of patients per year with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders utilizing the latest surgical techniques via a multidisciplinary approach in conjunction with a team of movement disorder neurologists. He is involved in multiple clinical trials in the use of DBS and other technologies to improve the lives of Parkinson patients.
